H hook (5mm)

Lily Sugar n Cream Yarn (I used white and pale yellow)

Scissors

Darning Needle

Stitches/Terms Used:

Slip Stitch (SS)

Chain (Ch)

Double Crochet (DC)

Magic Circle (MC)

“Shell” Stitch: 2DC, ch 2, 2DC

To Begin:

MC, Ch 1 to secure

Round 1: Ch 3 (this will count as your first DC), 4 more DC into MC (5 DC total)

Pull circle closed, SS into top of Ch 3

Round 2: Ch 3, DC in same stitch, Ch 1, 2DC in next stitch, Ch 1 *Repeat around until end (there will be 2DC in each stitch = 10DC total)

Round 3: Change Color: SS new color into a chain space (not a stitch), Ch 3 (**If you do not want to change colors, slip stitch into the next stitches until you reach a chain space, slip stitch into that chain space and begin with the Ch 3**)

DC in same chain space, Ch 2

2DC into same chain space, Ch 1 (this will complete the first shell) *Repeat in each chain space around until the end

After the last shell and Ch 1, SS into the top of Ch 3

Round 4: SS into the next stitch, SS into the following chain space, this is where you will begin your next “shell”

Ch 3, DC in same chain space, Ch 2, 2DC in same chain space, Ch 1 (shell)

2DC in next chain space (this will create a flat side), Ch 1, repeat “shell” into next corner chain space *Repeat until the end

After the last 2DC in the chain space, Ch 1, SS into the top of Ch 3

SS, tie off, weave in ends
